Sweet sleep...

Last night and the night before were relatively blissful. We got nearly 5 hours each night. Little Cam was quite content to sleep for 2-3 hours at a time. When we awoke refreshed I made this cute little video of her laying in her Xmas present from Doug, Petunia, Chunk and 'The Wife.'

We asked for donations to a Camera fund for X-mas, in lieu of gifts, to capture the first days of our little girl.
We bought the Canon Elura 100 the picture quality is Super Great! as long as there's lots 'o' light. Well anyway, here's the little Pooper. :)

(You'd prbly never guess that I make Television shows for a living.)

Wakey...Wakey!

As requested, here is a picture of our sweet baby with her eyes open.

This is what we made and Framed and gave to our parents for Christmas.

Tonights thoughts...
It feels like shes been her forever, and perhaps somehow she has. The nights have been long. I haven't been up past midnight for months, now it's nothing. 2am might as well be high noon. I've had almost 4 hours of sleep since last night... and that took 3 separate naps to get that.

Welcome Home, Cambria!

Born at 1:14pm on Thursday the 21st of December.
Weighing 6 Lbs & 15 Oz. Stretching out to a nice 19 inches.
LinkCAMBRIA TYLER
(CAM-bree-uh as in CAM-era or CAM-ping or CAM-el)
(a middle name may or may not be coming. haven't decided really.)

Cambria is our favorite coastal town in California. We would spend every other weekend either at Disneyland, or Moonstone Beach in Cambria. A beautiful natural looking coastal area, with a small quiet little town covered in Pine trees.
So relaxing and breathtaking.
Many, many good memories.
What can we say? she didn't look like a 'Disneyland' plus there's probably some 'copyright' issue there. :)

More pictures can be found on my website.

Both mom & baby girl are doing just fine, After hearing 9 months of birthing stories, mostly horror stories, Our story is simple, started at 8am after a breakfast at Einsteins, and by 1:14p we had her in our arms. Mom is recovering very nicely, everything is in place and she's as sexy as ever! What a Peach! I'm so proud of her!

How do I start? As things got closer to The Day, I heard so many cliche's, and got so much advice, (most of it was helpful), everything rings so true and she's only 73 hours and 7 minutes old.
  • Sleepless nights
  • The responsibility
  • Constant worrying
  • Bounteous Joys
  • Tons of diapers
  • Is she eating enough?
  • What's that in her nose
  • Is that suppose to be that big?
  • Am I going to break her?
  • Did I mention sleepless nights?
  • and the feeling of Responsibility?
I have a life form here! one that I'm in charge of! Is this crazy or what? I've held cute babies, I've changed 'em and played with them, and fed them...but this one's mine! I can't give it back to anyone, and It's not a sack of flour I get to return to the Home-Ec teacher at the end of the week. There is no end....and somehow.... some way... that's a beautiful thing.
There really should be a required test to be a parent. I say that because I think there are way too many unprepared Kids out there having babies, and because I'd really love to get my hands on the manual. :) Well enough of my sentiments, (believe me there's more, but I'll spare you the 'sap'.)
